Home to three undergraduate degrees, two graduate programs, a robust bridging discipline certificate, The Center for Integrated Design and over 20 faculty, the Department of Design and Department of Arts and Entertainment Technologies make up the School of Design and Creative Technologies. Coordinates with the Assistant Director to oversee the daily administrative operations of the School of Design and Creative Technologies (SDCT) and its departments and centers. Manages calendars for Assistant Dean and Department Chair of Arts and Entertainment Technologies (AET). Maintains calendars for SDCT and its departments, and coordinate meetings with diplomacy, tact, discretion, and attention to logistics. Prepares for meetings by scheduling, reserving rooms, soliciting content, drafting and distributing agendas, and preparing meeting materials. Creates and revises documents, spreadsheets, templates, forms, and surveys.Student Worker Management:
Oversees the hiring process for student workers, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding. Manages the scheduling, time sheets, and performance evaluation of student workers. Works with Assistant Director to address any issues related to student worker performance or attendance. Provides necessary training and ensures compliance with university policies. Maintains accurate records of student worker hours and coordinates with payroll for timely payment.Faculty Operations:
Assists the Assistant Director in compiling promotion and tenure dossiers by gathering and organizing required documentation, ensuring adherence to guidelines and deadlines, and preparing dossiers for review committees. Coordinates the scheduling and logistics of faculty review meetings. Supports faculty in navigating the promotion and tenure process by providing information and resources. Manages administrative tasks related to faculty appointments, reappointments, and promotions. Facilitates communication between faculty and the administration regarding promotion and tenure procedures and updates.Special Projects:
Manages special projects for the Assistant Dean, Chair of AET, and Assistant Director, including travel authorizations, preparing reimbursements, and researching business solutions for various needs within SDCT as needed (e.g., software needs, off-campus meeting spaces, etc.). Proactively identifies opportunities to update internal processes to ensure optimal functioning of the school. Collaborates with the Communications team to update and maintain the SDCT digital archive for business documents and other historical data needs.Event Coordination Support and Participation:
Provides planning and logistical support to the Project and Event Coordinator for SDCT events, as needed. This may include but is not limited to the visiting speaker series, department showcases, and other schoolwide student events. Supports event logistics including set up, tear down, catering, facilities, identifying staffing needs, and additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of administrative coordinationEvent support experienceDemonstrated experience with systematically tracking multiple projectsDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Required Competencies:

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing.Salary Range:
