Overview: The Corporate Event Planner is a crucial member of the corporate communications team helping GenScript present itself to diverse groups of stakeholders in business, government, and our local communities by managing entertaining and engaging corporate events and tours. Please note that this role is based onsite in Piscataway, NJ. Job Responsibilities: Develop a program of corporate events to achieve specific communications objectives. Manage on-site and off-site corporate events including tours, networking events, industry forums, etc. Be responsible for organizing and planning most aspects of events including theme, agenda, logistics, vendor selection, and budget. Work with internal stakeholders including corporate communications, media/PR, marketing, and sales functions. Identify and establish good relationships with external vendors. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills with ability to effectively manage their time. Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbally and written. Able to manage events effectively on-time and on-budget. 2-3 years of event planning experience. Banquet manager experience is preferred.
