Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.
For complete program details, please go to our website: www.berklee.edu/se.The Graphic Design Assistant for the Berklee Popular Music Institute (BPMI) will assist the institute's leadership team with developing visually appealing and effective designs for all BPMI-related content. This role is ideal for experienced graphic designers who can create and maintain consistent branding and tone across various projects. Work schedule: approximately 5-10 hours per week, September through May. Summer semester employment to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Job Duties:
Create assets for digital and print media, including logos, flyers, social media posts, newsletters, merch, web content, and more.Assist with the layout and design of one-sheets, brochures, and other promotional materials.Prepare and optimize files for printing and digital distribution.Organize and manage all digital assets, including images, logos, and templates.Ensure all designs align with the institute's brand.Assist with creating artist pitch decks throughout the Fall semester.Provide occasional support for on and off campus events.Run errands on-campus as needed.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Previous design experience is strongly preferredExperience using design applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, CanvaExperience using Google Suite (Drive, Slides, Forms)Must have successfully completed all 3 semesters of the BPMI Live programMust maintain a friendly and upbeat attitudeProven ability to work collaboratively with peersProven attention to detailPunctual and reliable
Both a resume and cover letter are required for consideration. An interview with the institute's leadership team will be required. It is strongly recommended to submit a portfolio of previous graphic design work with your application.
