A leading MEP firm seeks a Plumbing Designer to develop and produce plumbing design drawings for MEP projects. This role will create detailed plans for domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems, collaborating with engineers and project teams to ensure code-compliant, high-quality designs. Responsibilities Prepare plumbing drawings, including domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems, using AutoCAD and Revit. Perform basic pipe sizing calculations and assist with fixture selection under the guidance of engineers. Develop piping layouts, riser diagrams, and schedules to support project specifications. Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams to ensure design integration. Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction phase activities. Ensure designs comply with IPC, UPC, and local plumbing codes. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field. 3+ years of experience in plumbing design for MEP projects (e.g., offices, hospitals, schools). Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with BIM processes preferred. Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
