Job Responsibilities:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Communications Intern will assist the communications team across, internal, external and social media. The intern will join our team meetings, be responsible for the overall 2025 Magna Intern Day communication plan as well as several other internal, external and social campaigns during their time with Magna. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced communications department, supporting the company's overall go-forward strategy and efforts across internal, external and social.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assist in developing the strategy, creating and editing content for internal and social. This would span across mylife, MagnaNOW, MagNET and Magna social media channels
•Support the planning and execution of company events, such as town halls, conferences, and webinars.
•Conduct research and gather data to support communication strategies and initiatives.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
•Monitor communication efforts to adjust the plan and recap the overall campaign metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Previous internship(s)
•Communication projects either through curriculum or volunteer efforts
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
•High School Diploma
•Currently Attending a College or University pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
•Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Familiarity with social platforms and their best practices
•Ability to implement and analyze data that supports the communication campaigns

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
•Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
•The communications team is in-office Mon-Tues-Wed, with flexibility
