Director, Product Management – Marketing Workflow Management
to lead this transformative effort, shaping the tools and processes that enhance the way our Marketing teams collaborate, plan, and execute. Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work. Director, Product Management – Marketing Workflow Management , you will be responsible for defining and driving the vision, strategy, and roadmap for marketing workflow management tools. This role is pivotal in enabling a connected and efficient ecosystem, ensuring real-time insights into plans, budgets, resourcing, and performance metrics while aligning marketing workflows with enterprise goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for marketing workflow management tools that optimize the entire Marketing ecosystem, from media planning to strategy, creative execution, and operations. Focus on building solutions that improve efficiency, collaboration, and transparency across teams while addressing current and future business needs. Identify and address pain points in existing workflows, designing scalable solutions to automate and streamline processes. Ensure seamless integration of planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and real-time project tracking features. Establish clear checkpoints for reviews and approvals (e.g., creative reviews, legal compliance checks) to maintain quality and consistency. Partner closely with marketing, creative, and operational leaders to align product goals with stakeholder needs. Drive adoption of new tools and systems, ensuring they deliver tangible value to the Marketing organization. Develop feedback loops and analytics capabilities to continuously improve workflow tools, highlighting areas for optimization and delivering actionable insights. Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies in marketing workflow management, bringing innovative solutions to Target’s marketing ecosystem. About you: Four-year degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of product management experience, with a focus on marketing operations, workflow optimization, or MarTech. Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and managing product roadmaps. Strong understanding of marketing processes, workflow management tools, and automation technologies. Familiarity with data-driven decision-making and the ability to integrate analytics into product development. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders. Skilled in driving cross-functional collaboration between creative, operational, and technical teams. Passion for staying ahead of trends in marketing technologies and implementing forward-thinking solutions that enhance team performance. This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
