Job Summary
The Visual Merchandising Execution Manager will support the Creative Studio on select visual projects for a NYC retail-based project. This position will support the team during monthly floor sets, providing leadership to a team of in-store visual merchandisers. Additionally, the role will assist in bringing Winston Retail's vision for the store through visual merchandising. Based in the New York City area, the position will regularly collaborate with the Winston Creative Studio team and clients.
Responsibilities
Job Duties
Collaborate with instore visual merchandisers and Winston visual merchandisers to provide visual merchandising solutions while achieving sales goals for each department. Photograph before and after photos of the entire store and windows, per team direction. Lead the team in the installation, execution, and maintenance of department displays throughout the store. Work with visual merchandisers to ensure all displays and special installations continue to elevate the overall store experience and present a strong brand appropriate visual message for customers. Conduct smaller floor sets updates with no visual directive- meeting with the Creative Director & Creative Account Director to review floor set direction before arriving onsite. Communicating with store management and store personnel the main objectives for each floor set and help to assign tasks throughout the working day. Conduct final store walkthrough at the end of each visit with key store personnel and management to ensure all parties are aware of the work completed. Elevate any support VM concerns or store management concerns to the Creative Director & Creative Account Director in a timely fashion. Oversee seasonal window and in-store installations outside of normal business hours including early mornings (7 AM start time) overnights (7 PM start time) and weekends when necessary. Partner with Store Management and the Creative Studio at Winston Retail to create a positive working relationship and achieve project goals through morning meetings, gathering sales numbers and feedback and building trust between the Winston Team and our client's store employees. Experience and Benefits
Education and Experience
Min 4-6 years in a store/corporate visual merchandising role within retail or wholesale Experience with monthly retail floor sets - following direction and providing solutions to merchandising products Experience with mannequin styling, lighting, space planning, sku capacity, visual installations Experience with leading a team of visual merchandisers Experience coordinating multiple teams/resources on-site during transformative seasonal floor sets and window / in-store installations 2-4 years of education Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
4-6 years of retail merchandising experience within apparel, footwear and accessories Managed a team of 2-6+ people Experience with implementing and the installation of mannequins, window displays, instore merchandising within a retail environment Ability to work outside of normal business hours, including early mornings, overnights, and weekends Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all Winston and Client personnel Passion for retail merchandising and visual story telling in an engaging environment Ability to provide clear communication in both verbal and written reports Strong work ethic, reliable and committed Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and be mobile for the entire duration of an 8-hour + work shift Ability to climb 8 to 10 ft ladders for various reasons including - installations, repositioning of lights, etc Access to current smart phone / mobile device for photo taking Access to laptop and home office
