The Manager of Marketing will lead content and product marketing efforts on open-source projects, including OpenSearch, within Linux Foundation’s central marketing team by developing technical and strategic narratives that highlight the platform’s value to developers and enterprises. This role demands expertise in open-source technologies, enterprise search, and familiarity with the competitive landscape and related ecosystems. Key Responsibilities Content Development: Produce technical blogs, white papers, and case studies that demonstrate OpenSearch’s capabilities and differentiators.
Product Messaging: Craft compelling messaging for features such as full-text search, observability, and analytics to resonate with technical and enterprise users.
Market Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of competitors like Elasticsearch and other enterprise search solutions to refine positioning.
Collaboration: Partner with the performance marketing and community teams to amplify technical content across multiple channels.
Content Calendar Management: Maintain a strategic content calendar, ensuring alignment with project milestones and campaigns.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Increase technical content engagement rates.
Drive marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) through targeted content efforts.
Enhance OpenSearch’s share of voice in enterprise search.
Achieve an increase in enterprise adoption through aligned messaging and campaigns.
Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in content strategy or product marketing, with a focus on B2B technology or open-source ecosystems.
Deep understanding of OpenSearch and its ecosystem, including features like full-text search, vector search, observability, and analytics.
Familiarity with competing technologies and their market positioning.
Proven technical writing skills, with the ability to create developer-focused and enterprise-targeted content.
Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate technical concepts into impactful marketing materials.
Strong analytical and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt content to different audience personas.
Demonstrated success in building multi-channel content strategies that drive measurable results.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or a related field.
Salary:
$100,000 - $123,000 USD.
