Picture Archiving And Communication System Administrator
Location: Kettering Network Radiologists, Inc.
Base Pay Range: $67,500.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
This position will be responsible for all aspects of system management functions pertaining to Teleradiology (Telerad) and Picture Archive and Communications System (PACS). Responsibilities include operation, education and applications support of SECTRA-Nuance PS360 (S-PS360) systems for KNRI and physicians and assisting with support of physicians’ use similar PS360 systems owned and managed by its hospital partners.
Job Functions:
- Work daily to ensure timely and complete capture of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) image data into PACS.
- Work daily on patient data validation, and exception handling in PACS and Dictation.
- Generate and maintain workflow diagrams and analysis of PACS operations as needed.
- Conduct workflow design review of the S-PS360 system as needed to ensure synchronization with KNRI and client hospital operation workflows.
- Immediately engage with client hospitals to identify causes for any changes to remote imaging and RIS systems.
- Support physician Template and Macro management in S-PS360 (KNRI owned and hospital partners.)
- Coordinate the use of the KNRI PACS with client hospitals.
- Coordinate upgrades and day-to-day operation support for Telerad PACS.
- Coordinate education and training to all Telerad PACS users, solicit user feedback and implement training modifications as appropriate.
- Manage the integration of PACS to other third-party products including Application Programming Interface (API.)
- Manage the integration of existing and new radiological modalities to the Telerad PACS environment.
- Manage connectivity, setup and maintenance issues with client hospitals and offices.
- Manage PACS and speech recognition vendors’ responsiveness to operational and performance issues compared to contract.
- Educate new physician and non-physician employees in the use of the S-PS360 systems.
- Manage hardware and software configurations for computer systems and workstations.
Job Requirements:
Radiologic Technologist with a high level of sophistication and knowledge in data networking, DICOM, RIS applications, Health Level 7 (HL7), medical imaging workflow, and computer applications. Strong focus on project management, systems implementation, and process redesign is required. Operational knowledge of medical imaging equipment and departmental structures relating to workflow are a benefit. This position maintains application/user security profiles and internally developed and vendor-supplied API integration customizing software. Required to participate in on-call rotation with the rest of the team supporting Teleradiology services, which includes nights, weekends, and company observed holidays.
