Our marketing team aims to bring the wonder of Hershey’s chocolate to life for our guests and create extraordinary impressions through our marketing.
The Part-Time Social Media Coordinator will support the THX marketing team in its social media marketing efforts – from creative development through to posting. If you have a passion for social media, the ability to pitch creative ideas and develop content, and are a self-starter with strong communication skills, this role is for you. You will be working amongst a supportive and collaborative in-house content and creative team that’s enthusiastic about trying new things. This role will support the business unit’s brick-and-mortar store locations as well as its online store, shop.hersheys.com.
This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position. Hershey has a flexible work policy, so this position will be a blend of remote and in-person work.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Create engaging content for social media including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
- Collaborate with our videographer and copywriter to execute social media content based on our monthly social media plan.
- Monitor social media trends and pitch ideas that align with the Chocolate World brand.
- Schedule our social media posts using the Sprinklr platform ensuring appropriate approvals.
- Monitor our social media community, responding to comments and elevating issues to key stakeholders as needed.
- Manage the social media submissions from our Partner Stores and schedule those posts in a timely manner.
Minimum qualifications, skills, and abilities:
- Passion for learning and remaining current on all forms of social media including emerging trends and channels.
- Experience with social media management, influencer and listening tools such as Sprinklr.
- Operates effectively in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent collaboration skills, able to communicate confidently and effectively with co-workers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Sharepoint, Word etc.).
Minimum education and experience requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional-level experience in marketing or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, digital content or communications.
