Join a leading telecommunications company as a Technical Writer!
Are you a detail-driven communicator with a knack for turning complex technical information into clear, structured documentation? We’re looking for a Technical Writer to support a high-impact regulatory project by documenting infrastructure systems, procedures, and interactions across a large-scale operational environment.
Contract Details
- Daily Rate: £400 per day (inside IR35)
- Location: Reading (hybrid – twice per month on-site)
- Contract Length: 6 months (with visibility to extend)
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with SMEs to gather technical information on infrastructure systems.
- Produce clear, auditable documentation including procedures and system diagrams.
- Create and maintain Visio diagrams showing system interactions (IP addresses, ports, etc.).
- Translate complex technical data into structured Word documents.
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory and audit standards.
- Work independently to manage tasks and follow up with busy stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Experience as a Technical Writer in an operational or infrastructure environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High resilience and persistence in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Word.
- Familiarity with IP addressing, ports, and server infrastructure.
