Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of experience with Power BI - Expert in writing and reading SQL queries - Strong experience with Python
Power BI Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Power BI features such as Power Query, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Service. Ability to create interactive reports, dashboards, and utilize slicers, filters, drill-downs, and other visual enhancements. DAX Proficiency: Strong experience with DAX for creating calculated columns, measures, and other complex expressions to ensure accurate and efficient data analysis. Data Modeling: Experience in designing optimized data models, establishing relationships between tables, and using best practices to ensure efficient reporting and performance. SQL and Data Connectivity: Proficient in connecting Power BI to various data sources like SQL databases, cloud services, and Excel, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy and automated refreshes. Power Query Mastery: Deep understanding of Power Query for data cleansing, transformation, and shaping (e.g., merging tables, pivoting, implementing complex transformations). API & Data Integration: Familiarity with API-driven datasets and best practices for reporting data from APIs in Power BI. Business Intelligence Analysis: Ability to collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., business u , analysts, IT teams) to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications. Performance Optimization: Proven ability to monitor and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance. Includes tuning data models, optimizing DAX queries, and ensuring fast refresh processes. Data Accuracy and Testing: Strong attention to detail when testing and validating reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and that business requirements are met. Stakeholder Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment between technical and business teams. Documentation & Process: Ability to document data models, report logic, and processes clearly for future reference and team collaboration.
