HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Senior Marketing Project Manager is responsible for managing the start to finish process of developing and executing consumer-facing and trade-related advertising and marketing materials. This position reports to the Associate Director of Design Marketing.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage projects from inception to final deliverables, including budget management, ensuring on-time delivery and asset archiving using Airtable project management platform.
- Manage project workflow and communication with internal graphic designers, external advertising agencies, and promotional item vendors and ensure open lines of communication with all Marketing team members to ensure total awareness of project statuses.
- Evaluate and anticipate project needs and proactively address any potential challenges or roadblocks.
- Lead and ensure that all necessary meetings are performed and attended, that follow ups are tracked, and that recaps are distributed to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Oversee print collateral tactics including hiring printers, procuring estimates, flight-checking print files, reviewing proofs, performing on-site press checks, and coordinating delivery and receipt of final printed pieces.
- Maintain and distribute current project list and job status reports.
- Organize and assist in the establishment of effective and best project management practices.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management role at a creative agency, advertising agency, graphic design firm, or related business.
- Professional experience working with marketing, digital marketing, public relations, or advertising agencies.
- Experience in comprehensive advertising campaigns including key art development, copy writing, digital and print production, trade shows, photoshoots, and asset management.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
- Strong project management skills including the ability to effectively prioritize and manage all stakeholder expectations.
- Strong understanding of creative conceptualization process and vision.
- Must be able to relate to understand, and support the needs of creative team members.
- Extremely organized, detailed oriented, pro-active, and results driven.
- Strategic, critical thinker and creative problem solver with big picture in mind.
- Natural history, wildlife conservation, zoology, or biology background is desirable.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, positive outlook, can-do personality.
- Can thrive under pressure in fast-paced, deadline driven, and constantly changing environment with evolving project needs.
- Can calmly navigate thru many personalities and individual priorities and appear as the voice of reason throughout project.
- Clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to operate moderately complex computer software programs.
- Has a strong understanding of business acumen and creative vision to execute strategic marketing plans succinctly and accurately.
- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
