Wiley , a leading Washington, DC law firm, has an opening for a
Marketing Assistant
to join its Marketing team. The Marketing Assistant provides general administrative support for the Marketing Department in its day-to-day operations. This role will also provide technology support with maintenance of the firm’s website and client relationship management (CRM) database, which includes data entry; updating mailing lists and contact information; and generating reports. This position is eligible to participate in the firm’s flexible work program. Immediate availability required. RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide administrative support to the Chief Marketing Officer and the Senior Director of Marketing, including but not limited to scheduling internal and external meetings, requesting audio-visual set-ups, placing catering orders, assisting with drafting meeting agendas, performing research, and preparing materials for meetings Assist with various digital marketing activities, such as content creation, social media management, and email marketing Make routine website updates, including edits to attorney biographies, and the addition of events/speeches and articles Responsible for processing invoices, maintaining expense records, and updating budget related spreadsheets Assist with CRM data clean-up efforts, including merging duplicate contacts, researching company information and maintaining style guide standards Maintain the inventory of client gifts, logo items, and marketing supplies. Replenish stock and research options. Perform general administrative tasks such as maintaining department files, processing department invoices, etc. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both in oral and written form Ability to multi-task, prioritize/coordinate deadlines and track progress of tasks Ability to organize workflow and use time efficiently Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy Resourceful, driven attitude with a genuine desire to ensure team success Must maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials Must establish and maintain effective working relationships in or out of a team environment Understands and adopts the organizational structure Possesses the attitude of collaboration and sharing Willingness to learn and adopt new methodologies Proficiency with office productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat); aptitude for learning new software strongly preferred; ability to type 45 wpm Experience with digital design and social media platforms Flexibility to work overtime on an as-needed basis EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1- 2 years
of professional experience preferred Prior law firm experience is a plus WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position operates in a professional office environment which is usually quiet to moderate Position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets Position requires that the employee be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position is primarily a sedentary position. However, some duties and responsibilities may require the employee to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, occasionally move about to access office equipment, file cabinets, etc. May require employee to carry or lift items weighing up to 20 pounds This description outlines the basic requirements of this position. It is not intended to be a complete description as other duties may be assigned. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $55,000 to $62,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
