Your Role at impact.com:
The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing events, including tradeshows, industry conferences, and company-hosted events, to ensure they run smoothly and meet their objectives. The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of how to marry business objectives with event experience, thrives “in the weeds,” is a detailed and organized planner, a creative problem-solver, and an expert communicator comfortable leading people at all levels.
Responsibilities:
Meeting with internal stakeholders (Sales, Client Success, or other internal teams) to collaborate on event needs, goals, and success metrics. Establish clear roles and responsibilities. Enable attending staff with reports, event briefs, staff meetings, and other resources to ensure they're set up for success.
Developing event plans, including timelines, schedules, and task assignments. This involves coordinating with vendors, venues, and other service providers. Managing event requirements like registration, overseeing contracts, building internal event landing pages on CVENT, working with internal teams to ensure accurate event reporting, and ordering and shipping required materials.
Developing and executing marketing strategies in collaboration with the broader marketing team to promote the event, which can include social media, demand generation, design, and public relations, among other promotional strategies.
Overseeing the event on the day to ensure everything runs according to plan, handling any issues that arise, and managing the event staff.
Creating and managing the event budget, ensuring costs are controlled, submitting bills for payment, and reconciling corporate credit card charges.
Conducting analysis after the event to assess its success, gather attendee and stakeholder feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Update reports to track event success over time.
Owning the iPX sponsorship program: iPX is our annual customer and thought leadership conference with 1,000+ attendees and 20+ sponsors. Leading the sponsorship program from idea inception and development to sales and contracting with sponsors, and forecasting sponsor ROI using data to back up suggestions. Launching assets like a sponsorship prospectus, email templates, a template agreement, a landing page, and other assets needed to promote and sell sponsorships. Selling sponsorships to customers and partners to meet team goals.
Qualifications:
3+ years of events management experience
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong collaboration and project management experience
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience with events tech platforms
Experience with logistically complex in-person and virtual events
Ability to travel to events about 6-8 times per year or as needed
Experience running events for SaaS companies
Familiarity with building and managing events using CVENT
Salary Range:
$85,000-$95,000 per year plus additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.
