Job Description Marketing Data Analyst
One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst. The Client’s product portfolio provides the foundations for team collaboration and productivity, and through rich integrations with leading SaaS vendors and 3rd party apps, teams can streamline their work, automate tedious tasks, and connect in real-time on critical issues.
Client is looking for a Marketing Operations Data Analyst to join our Audience Targeting and Optimization analytics team. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders daily who are both familiar and unfamiliar with client’s customer data to define and build audiences for their desired product marketing messages (ex: cross-sell, feature release, etc.) and event marketing campaigns. These audiences will be built by querying our relational database OR within a GUI called ActionIQ.
The ideal candidate should have experience:
Working with stakeholders who are either familiar or unfamiliar with an organization's customer data (ex: attributes defining customers in an RDBMS)Conducting data discovery and curating SSOT documentation for disparate data sources (ex: new tables or columns)Strong data manipulation skills - advanced proficiency in SparkSQL or similar syntax
Responsibilities:
Work directly with stakeholders across the org to define and refine audience requirements for their product marketing messages (ex: cross-sell, upsell, feature releases, etc.)Create audiences for product marketing and event campaigns (in-person or virtual events) by querying our relational database OR within ActionIQSegment new and existing audiences for dynamic emails, A/B tests, and experimentsHelp identify opportunities for campaign optimization and marketing personalization (ex: query optimization, audience overlap, etc.)
Requirements:
BA/BS degree3-4 years of experience in analytics3-4 years of experience with relational databases and SQL query languagesAdvanced proficiency with SparkSQL or similar syntaxSelf-starter with great curiosity about technology and behaviorStellar written and communication skillsExperience managing projects end-to-end, including task definition, work estimation, and status reportingClear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem-solve, and communicate across technical and non-technical business teamsComfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environmentsA willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods as neededFamiliarity with Atlassian products like Confluence and Jira is a plus
Duration: 12 months, with extension potential
Location: 100% remote in USA, but must be able to work West Coast hours
Compensation: $40-55hr DOE#J-18808-Ljbffr
