About the Position:
The CWB is seeking a creative and responsible part-time hourly wage employee for the Communications and Marketing Assistant position. The maximum authorized hours of work for this position will be up to 20 hours per week. The Communications and Marketing Assistant will report to our Center's Communications Manager and work with our team on a diverse variety of communications and marketing projects to support the Center's work.

Responsibilities:
Manage and grow the Center's Instagram and Facebook social media channels;
Assist with the Center's website and email database as needed;
Participate in on-campus student outreach events;
Design printed and electronic promotional materials to market the Center's events, student programs, and professional leadership programs;
Provide input on the marketing strategy and plan for the Center's professional certificates and courses;
Support marketing initiatives for the Center's events and programs;
Add event listings to the Center's website and Mason 360;
Participate in our Center's meetings; and
Other communications tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Experience managing social media for an organization;
Graphic design skills;
Experience with WordPress system software and Microsoft applications;
Organizational and execution skills;
Written communication skills;
Interpersonal skills and a positive mindset;
Attention to detail, integrity, and self-motivation;
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously; and
Ability to work well independently and on a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in marketing, journalism, or related field;
Knowledge of well-being science;
Professional experience typically obtained in two years with social media management, especially with Instagram and Facebook;
Professional experience typically obtained in two years designing graphics and marketing collateral; and
Professional experience typically obtained in two years using WordPress content management system.
