Status: Contractor (Remote in South Florida)
Live Arts Miami is seeking a professional contractor with knowledge of best practices in marketing & communications, with an emphasis in online and grassroots marketing. This person should have familiarity with the field of performing arts presenting and an understanding of Miami’s diverse audiences, cultural organizations and media outlets. Strong copywriting skills are needed with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community, plus excellent organizational skills including the ability to establish timelines, manage competing priorities, and track /meet deadlines. The contractor should have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, and social media outlets including in-depth functionality of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc., and understand the latest trends in digital data tracking and Google Analytics.
Summary:
The Marketing Manager leads overall marketing efforts for Live Arts Miami to advance organizational goals including building new audiences, driving attendance to events, strengthening design and branding, and broadening PR/communications.
Scope of Work:
- Creates and executes marketing plans, identifying target audiences and establishing marketing budgets for the annual season and each project. Spearheads audience development efforts and institutional branding initiatives.
- Oversees and generates content for online presence including management of website, blog, video platforms, and social media outlets.
- Manages the timely creation of promotional materials including brochures, videos, ads, e-mail blasts, flyers, banners, event signage and swag.
- Negotiates and executes advertising spends with external media outlets, including digital platforms such as Google, YouTube and Meta. Develops promotional partnerships with aligned organizations, media sponsors, and key influencers.
- Generates marketing copy and press releases for print, radio, Email and digital initiatives.
- Oversees public relations efforts to promote Live Arts Miami and its events, including media outreach and listings.
- Collects data to evaluate potential audiences, market conditions, competitors and advertising trends.
- Maintains Live Arts Miami brand presence at all MDC campuses and in the community through distribution of print and digital posters, plus other marketing collateral.
- Manages resources according to agreed marketing budgets, tracks expenditures and collects receipts.
- Maintains marketing archive including press clippings, photo, and video files for each event.
- Creates marketing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
