As part of the Hematology and Nephrology (Hem/Neph) U.S. commercial team, the Director, US HCP Marketing Strategy, PNH, is a member of the PNH brand team and will play a critical role in developing and driving strategy and tactics for healthcare provider engagement for the PNH portfolio. This individual will report to Sr. Director, Marketing, PNH Lead, and will work collaboratively with the rest of the brand team. This role is instrumental in leading cross-functional efforts to drive HCP marketing strategy & execution, collaborating with brand team members, US cross-functional colleagues, and the Global PNH Commercial team, navigating US activities within an evolving competitive PNH therapeutic market. Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Leading the evolution and implementation of the PNH HCP marketing strategy, messaging, & tactical execution across the PNH brand portfolio, including responsibility for 3 in-market brands. Navigating market needs across disease education & patient identification, critical for rare disease markets. Development and execution of innovative HCP education tactics to create brand loyalty and messaging belief for IV and oral add-on PNH therapies. Leading the PNH HCP communication strategy, including personal & non-personal promotion channels. Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop & execute key customer engagement plans (KOLs, IDNs, GPOs, etc.). Partnering with commercial analytics & insights teams to assess current HCP market landscape dynamics, evolving competitive marketing activities, to find opportunities to improve identification & diagnosis, and optimize Alexion PNH brands’ performance. Leading insight generation activities, including primary & secondary HCP research projects, advisory boards, etc. Leading PNH competitive response planning and activities for the US Region, partnering with cross-functional teams, and leading business unit leadership updates. Partner with Omni-channel strategy team to design & execute omni-channel customer engagement promotion. Contributing to the annual brand planning process, leading the short & long-term HCP strategy assessment and evolution, tactical marketing plan development, and annual budgeting. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other functional areas and internal strategic partners (i.e., Sales/Sales Leadership, Medical, TLL, Global Marketing, HCP Operations, Market Research, Omnichannel, Analytics, Training, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, etc.). Identify appropriate key performance indicators for HCP engagement, and measure & monitor performance analysis. Managing agency partners, project timelines, resources, and HCP marketing budgets. Essential Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a scientific, business, communications, or related field. 10+ years of professional experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry; can include marketing, agency or related healthcare experience. Extensive HCP marketing and/or HCP strategy experience through in-country US roles. Expertise with competitive therapeutic market assessment & strategic planning. Prior experience supporting launch strategy effectiveness in specialty or rare disease markets. Strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas and work independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead. Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate in a matrix environment. High level of interpersonal skills and highly adept in both verbal & written communication. Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and fast-paced competitive environment. The duties of this role are generally conducted in the Boston Seaport office environment. As is typical of an office-based role, employees must be able, with or without an accommodation to use a computer; engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging; engage in problem solving and non-linear thought, analysis, and dialogue; collaborate with others; maintain general availability during standard business hours. Desirable Skills/Experience: Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA). Diverse pharma or biotech commercial experience, including hematology or rare disease. Prior experience building & driving organized customer group (IDNs, GPOs, etc.) engagement plans. Prior experience in highly competitive markets.
