About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic
Senior Product Manager
to lead
congress strategy, execution, and KOL engagement
across Sanofi’s US 1Rare Disease organization. Our best-in-class rare disease portfolio spans 7 marketed products across 5 therapeutic areas, and 3 potential launches in the next 3 years. This role will be instrumental in shaping our presence at key congresses, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration, and developing best-in-class engagement strategies with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
This individual will create the infrastructure for impactful congress participation and KOL relationships and driving digital pull-through to maximize engagement and visibility.

, this role will support efforts targeting healthcare providers (HCPs), APPs, and key stakeholders within the account.
This position will report to the Head of Account Marketing, US Rare Disease, and will be based in Cambridge, MA. It requires in-office presence at least 3 days per week to facilitate collaboration and execution.

Main Responsibilities:
Congress Strategy & Execution
Lead the development and execution of the
national congress strategy
, ensuring alignment with commercial and medical objectives.
Market development at key congresses and events for launches.
Oversee congress presence, including booth strategy, sponsorships, speaker presentations and symposia, and digital pull-through.
Work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing leadership to set the regional congress strategy and support their execution.
Partner with Medical Affairs and Global to optimize the cross-functional “One Sanofi” presence at congresses, e.g. scientific exchange, KOL engagement, and insight generation.
Ensure operational excellence in congress planning, logistics, and execution.
KOL Engagement & Infrastructure Development
Build and execute a
structured KOL engagement strategy
, developing deep relationships with key external experts in the rare disease space.
Collaborate cross-functionally with
Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales
to align KOL touchpoints across the organization.
Develop innovative approaches to
KOL digital engagement
and congress follow-up, including optimizations with AI.
Establish best practices for
KOL tracking, insights gathering, and impact measurement
.
Digital & Industry Innovation
Drive
digital pull-through
strategies that enhance engagement before, during, and after congresses, while connecting personal and non-personal promotion touchpoints to the overall 1Rare Digital Ecosystem.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging best practices in congress execution and KOL engagement.
Identify and implement
new technologies, platforms, and methodologies
to elevate engagement effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the primary liaison between
Commercial, Medical affairs, and Sales teams
to ensure seamless congress execution and KOL engagement at both the national and regional levels.
Support the
key account manager-based sales team
, ensuring congress learnings translate into meaningful customer interactions.
Lead internal alignment on
congress strategy, messaging, and post-event execution
.
National Congress Budget Management & Dynamic Resource Allocation
Develop and manage
budgets for national congresses and KOL engagement
, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
Monitor financial performance and optimize spend for maximum impact.
Work with vendors and partners to ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality execution.
Content Development & Communication
Self-motivated, independent thinker with a proven ability to develop
high-quality, impactful content for national conferences
.
Creation of impactful content and assets for regional congress presence in partnership with the Sales team.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage
multiple content development projects simultaneously
while meeting tight deadlines.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to
translate complex clinical data into clear, engaging messages
for HCPs, APPs, GCs, and other congress attendees.
Experience working
cross-functionally
to ensure alignment with key internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to
lead external agencies
in the development of conference materials and ensure high standards of quality and brand consistency.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring
accuracy and compliance with industry regulations
in all conference content.
Comfortable working in a
fast-paced environment
and managing content for multiple high-profile conferences throughout the year.
About You
Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years
of experience in
pharmaceutical marketing, product management, or congress strategy
(rare disease experience preferred).
Proven success in
KOL engagement and congress execution
within a commercial or medical affairs function.
Strong understanding of
key account management sales models
and HCP engagement strategies.
Demonstrated ability to work
cross-functionally
with commercial, medical, and sales teams.
Experience developing
digital pull-through
and engagement strategies for congresses.
Strong project management and operational skills, with the ability to execute flawlessly.
Strategic thinker with a passion for identifying
industry-changing best practices
.
Ability to travel as needed for congresses and KOL engagements.
