Osborn Consulting is looking for a Marketing Manager to be part of our growing marketing efforts. If the thrill of the pursuit - including everything from pre-positioning to proposal writing and design to interview prep - gets your blood pumping and creativity sparking, this is the role for you Our ideal candidate has experience in AEC industry proposal management and knows how to work with both technical staff and other business professionals to understand what Osborn does and leverage that understanding to win work. Our Marketing Department and our technical staff are true collaborators, working together to write engaging content and design winning graphics for every proposal. You will have the opportunity to lead our pursuit teams to success while learning more about our business and enjoying yourself along the way. Our Marketing Department includes coordinator-level colleagues who perform the bulk of the InDesign work for our proposals and assist in coordinating with technical staff. In addition to the coordinators, you will work with both the Director of Marketing and the Director of Strategy to manage pursuits. Your role focuses on engaging with our pursuit teams (a mix of marketing and technical staff) to understand and communicate our strategy, as well as to make our proposals and interviews shine. Critical for this role is a strong attention to detail, a love of learning about engineering and landscape architecture, strong writing and design skills, and a collaborative management approach. Osborn pursues more than 100 qualification-based pursuits, including 20 prime pursuits, per year. We are continuing to grow across the Pacific Northwest and anticipate those numbers will continue to increase in 2025 and beyond. This role will be pivotal to ensuring consistency across practices in our pursuit efforts. Role Description Lead Pursuit Strategy: Work with pursuit teams to develop winning strategies, conduct market research, and implement these strategies into compelling proposals and presentations. Manage Marketing Team: Oversee a team of marketing coordinators and assistants, providing guidance and support in proposal development and content creation. Craft Persuasive Content: Develop and execute effective messaging strategies, write and edit high-quality proposal content, and collaborate with technical experts to ensure accurate and compelling deliverables. Ensure Operational Excellence: Maintain meticulous attention to detail, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our proposal processes and CRM system. Mentor and Develop: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior marketing staff, fostering their professional growth. Key Experience and Skills Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field 5 years of relevant marketing experience in the A/E/C industry Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft 365 Strong project management skills Strong people management skills Experience with CRM systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to manage complex proposals and presentations Team-oriented with the ability to mentor junior staff Strong attention to detail and adherence to RFQ/RFP requirements Problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Location Our ideal candidate would be based out of our Bellevue office, where most of our marketing staff operate. For the right candidate, we are open to a hybrid arrangement, requiring at least two days per week in the office. However, more in-office time is strongly preferred.
