Marketing & Brand Content Specialist
Reports To: Chief Design Officer (CDO)
Location: Bend, Oregon
Position Type: Full-Time
About Kawak Aviation:
At Kawak Aviation, we don’t just build aviation systems — we design, engineer, and launch innovations that power the most demanding missions in aerial firefighting, agriculture, military, and beyond. We’re a small, driven team of makers, thinkers, and doers based in Bend, Oregon, and we’re on a mission: Improving lives through aviation innovation.
Why This Role Rocks:
Are you the kind of person who loves getting things done — creating, posting, designing, writing, tweaking, launching, and repeating? Do you want to see your ideas take flight (sometimes literally)? If you're creative, organized, and thrive on variety, you’ll love this role.
This position is built for an energetic content specialist — someone who’s excited to roll up their sleeves and make things happen across social media, digital marketing, content, branding, and events. You’ll be the right hand to the CDO and will help bring the Kawak brand to life, day in and day out.
What You’ll Be Doing (Your Day-to-Day):
Brand Consistency
- Apply our brand guidelines across everything we publish — from brochures to website updates to social posts.
- Be the eyes and ears of our brand online, flagging inconsistencies and keeping things sharp.
- Help evolve our brand style guides as we grow.
Content Creation & Copywriting
- Write social posts, blog articles, email copy, website updates and product blurbs that grab attention.
- Assist in creating brochures, flyers, and presentations (Adobe skills welcome).
- Support visual content creation with graphic design and basic video editing.
Digital Campaign Execution
- Schedule and deploy marketing campaigns across social, email, and digital platforms.
- Track performance using analytics tools and help us fine-tune for better results.
- Compile campaign wrap-up reports with highlights and learnings.
Social Media & Community Engagement
- Own the daily rhythm of posting and engaging on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Respond to comments, share industry news, and keep our channels buzzing.
- Monitor engagement trends and suggest new ways to grow.
Market & Competitor Intel
- Do quick-hit research to keep us informed on competitor moves and industry trends.
- Collect data on our audience and report useful insights.
Marketing Support & Coordination
- Keep our CRM and asset library organized and up to date.
- Coordinate with printers, designers, video teams, and swag vendors.
- Support trade show prep — think booth design, banners, print collateral, promo gear, and event logistics.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of hands-on marketing experience (content, digital, creative execution)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Strong writing and editing chops
- Familiarity with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and analytics
- 3+ years experience with graphic design (Adobe Suite preferred)
- Ability to assist in website content updates
- Comfortable with CRM platforms and email tools
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
Personal Traits That Will Help You Shine:
- Creative mindset with a love for execution
- Curious, collaborative, and adaptable
- Not afraid to ask questions or try new things
- You get excited about to-do lists and knocking things off them
- You enjoy connecting with people — whether it’s a quick vendor call, chatting with a pilot at a trade show, or helping tell a customer success story
- You’re motivated by the idea that your work can help save lives and protect communities by getting cutting-edge firefighting tools into the right hands
Why You’ll Love It Here:
- You’ll see the impact of your work every single day
- You'll work directly with senior leadership on brand-shaping projects
- You’ll have freedom to propose creative ideas and take ownership of execution
- You’ll connect with customers and partners in an industry where the stakes are real and your work truly matters
- If we market effectively, we help more firefighting crews access the tools they need — protecting wildlands, homes, and lives
- We move fast, support each other, and celebrate wins together
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $58,000–$72,000 DOE
- 401(k) with company match
