Job Description
This is a remote position.
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Content Writer to join our growing team. In this unique role, you'll play a vital role in producing 100% unique content that is highly relevant to Google searches. You'll also provide critical support to the CEO, acting as a trusted point of contact and assisting with a variety of tasks.
The Content Writer works as part of the Content Team and reports directly to the Team Manager. He is committed to producing content that aligns with our client's brands. His primary responsibility is to produce unique content each month that is highly relevant to Google searches. The article topics are provided along with the targeted keywords. Preference will be given to those with experience in SEO. He is responsible for the content production itself—all articles must be 100% unique and original. He must run all submissions through a plagiarism checker & word counter that we provide. No plagiarism will be tolerated in written work. Before submission, all work must be edited for grammar, readability, and spelling. Responsibilities include:
- Familiar with each organization's brand ideals and website to create content that supports their objectives and desired identity;
- Cooperate with the marketing/SEO team to create web content and monitor its effectiveness over time;
- Coordinate with proofreader to ensure error-free content;
- Create and publish engaging content;
- Ensure that all content created is of high quality;
- Use target keywords to write search-engine copy that is optimized for search engines (SEO) while remaining entertaining and informative;
- Stay abreast of current best practices in the industry and review competitor websites to compare their activities;
- Use SEO strategies in writing to maximize online visibility;
- Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions for improvement;
- Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, and blogs;
- Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials;
- Communicate and cooperate with a writing team, including a content manager, editors, and web publisher;
- Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content;
- Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing Communications OR equivalent work experience:
- Minimum of 1 year Copywriting and/or SEO Writing experience
- Deep interest in cars, auto repair, and the automotive industry
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of SEO
- Excellent grammar and spelling skills
- Ability to edit and proofread clear, concise, and engaging marketing-related copies
- Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and team management skills
