Job Description:
The Office of Media Services in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is seeking a part-time graphic design assistant to join a tight-knit, flexible, collaborative communications and marketing team. The candidate will develop visually compelling materials for print and digital platforms that bring attention to programs and activities in the college, from brochures and class flyers to social media posts and web banners.
Expected Salary:
The salary is $15.00 per hour; up to 20 hours/week
Minimum Requirements:
This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent graphical design skills
• Ability to follow directions with attention to detail
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Familiarity with image file formats
• Familiarity with preparing layouts for print production
• Comfortable in Mac/PC environments and using cloud-based services
• Willingness to perform routine tasks
• Flexibility with critiques and changes and using feedback to improve
• Exhibits excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Previous experience in a graphic design-related position or enrolled in a graphic design program
