Position Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients, Project Managers, and other Event Technicians to ensure the successful completion of events.
- Operate all types of audio, visual, lighting and rigging equipment, for both live and virtual events.
- Setup, strike, loading, and unloading of all forms of event equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service while promptly handling any equipment changes or requests.
- Ensure equipment is functionally, safely, and professionally set up for execution of all events.
- Trouble-shoot any equipment issues with satisfactory resolution.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of tech areas.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned to ensure success of Markey’s events.
Necessary Skills
- A good working knowledge of all types of Audio Visual equipment- including operation, setup, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment’s use.
- Excellent customer service skills, politely and promptly responding to client needs.
- Ability to work in both a collaborative team environment, and independently.
- Ability to follow directions from the Project Manager or Crew Lead, and implement such tasks in a timely fashion.
- A high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.
- Ability to effectively/professionally interact and communicate with both internal and external clients.
- Ability to maintain a positive/professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a positive/professional manner.
- Ability to embrace Markey’s culture, demonstrate company values, respect diversity, and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must maintain a good driving record that meets driver insurability requirements, be able to pass a DOT medical certification, and must obtain any special licensing needed to be able to drive a box truck, van, or other company vehicle.
- Physical demands include frequent bending, pushing/pulling gear, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
