Job Description
SymphonyAI Retail/CPG is seeking an experienced Director of Product Marketing with expertise in AI SaaS pricing, B2B solutions, and the retail/CPG industry to lead our pricing strategies for innovative AI-powered products. This role is critical in driving revenue growth, enhancing profitability, and enabling our clients to succeed with advanced AI solutions. The ideal candidate will excel in creating data-driven, customer-focused pricing strategies, supporting strategic sales efforts, and optimizing pricing for upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the retail and CPG sectors.
Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Pricing Strategies for AI Products
Design and execute pricing strategies for AI-powered products and solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and market trends. Conduct comprehensive analysis of market dynamics, customer insights, and competitor pricing to develop competitive pricing structures for AI-driven SaaS solutions. Build value-based pricing models that highlight the impact of AI on business outcomes for retail and CPG clients. Price Setting and Optimization
Establish and optimize pricing structures across AI product lines to maximize revenue, market share, and customer value. Continuously refine pricing strategies to support new sales, strategic upsell, and cross-sell opportunities, ensuring AI solutions are effectively monetized. Develop tailored pricing approaches for enterprise clients based on customer segmentation and business potential. Strategic Sales Enablement for AI Solutions
Partner with the sales team to provide pricing guidance for complex deals involving AI products and services, ensuring strategic alignment and profitability. Collaborate on account strategies for B2B retail and CPG clients, driving revenue growth through targeted upsell and cross-sell initiatives. Support the development of ROI calculators and pricing tools to empower sales teams in showcasing the value of AI-driven solutions. Data-Driven Analysis and Forecasting
Utilize advanced analytics and AI-driven pricing tools to assess pricing effectiveness, profitability, and market performance. Develop predictive pricing models that incorporate AI capabilities, cost structures, and competitive dynamics. Leverage AI-powered insights to simulate pricing scenarios, forecast demand, and optimize price elasticity for AI products. Competitive and Market Analysis
Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis of AI pricing models, ensuring SymphonyAI maintains leadership in the market. Identify emerging trends in AI-powered solutions and recommend proactive adjustments to pricing and packaging strategies. Stay informed on developments in AI technology and the impact on pricing practices within the retail/CPG industry. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Product Management to design pricing and packaging strategies that align with the features and capabilities of AI products. Work with Marketing to effectively communicate the value of AI solutions through pricing models and promotional campaigns. Partner with Finance to align pricing strategies with overall revenue and margin goals. Coordinate with Customer Success to ensure pricing reflects client value realization and retention priorities.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Track and report on key metrics, such as price elasticity, revenue growth from upsell/cross-sell, and customer retention impact. Present insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership on the performance and optimization of pricing strategies for AI solutions.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure all pricing strategies comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. Identify and mitigate risks related to pricing decisions, including impacts on customer satisfaction, market perception, and brand equity.
What You Bring
Experience: 10+ years in pricing strategy, with a focus on AI products, SaaS, and B2B markets, preferably within the retail and CPG industries. Expertise in AI SaaS Pricing: Proven success in designing pricing models for AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable value to enterprise clients. Strategic Vision: Ability to develop innovative pricing strategies for new sales, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities, tailored for AI products and services. Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in leveraging analytics and AI tools to drive data-informed pricing decisions and forecasting. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of AI technology trends, SaaS pricing structures, and the procurement dynamics of retail and CPG clients. Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Marketing, and Finance, to deliver cohesive strategies. Communication: Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with pricing and revenue management tools, CRM platforms, and AI-powered analytics solutions.
