AutoCAD Designer – Algonquin, IL $70,000-$100,000 depending on years of experience + Bonus, PTO, 401K + Match
We are a design/build firm specializing in various structural design elements. This position will work in custom millwork, cabinetry, and architectural elements for high-end residential and commercial projects. Our firm is known for its seamless process, collaborating with clients from initial design concepts to project completion. Job Responsibilities: Develop custom millwork profiles using AutoCAD to create 2D & 3D templates. Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines. Collaborate with clients to determine pricing and source necessary materials. Assist in updating catalogs and databases. Utilize Microvellum to model custom cabinetry that meets design, manufacturing, and installation requirements. Generate production-ready shop drawings, cut lists, and G-code outputs for CNC routers. Work closely with project management to define project scopes, schedules, and technical details. Prepare and submit digital or printed drawing sets with all necessary documents. Research materials and coordinate procurement with purchasing teams. Lead project meetings to communicate updates and changes with the team and clients. Ensure clear communication of project expectations with internal teams and stakeholders. Identify and escalate issues in a timely manner while proposing solutions for process improvement.
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of relevant design experience or related education. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings. Hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset. Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Self-motivated and highly detail oriented. Strong customer service skills.
