Principle Duties and Responsibilities Support the mechanical design and development aspects of Permanent Magnet AC, Brushed DC & Brushless DC electric motors and systems from fractional to 700HP Provide detailed support of motor design including analysis and test support Create models in SOLIDWORKS, assist with finite element analysis and other simulations Provide technical support for Sales, Production and Program Management Support warranty and product failure reviews, including documenting corrective actions Assist with creation of engineering drawings, BOMs, test plans, and technical reports Design and develop parts/components for new and existing products Manage time and work activity efficiently while handling multiple projects and tasks Work effectively in a team-oriented environment Support projects to reduce cost and ensure quality of new and existing designs
Experience and Education Required 1-3 years' experience in Mechanical Design Experience with PMAC, Brushed/brushless DC motors & drives a plus
Technical Skills Proficient with SOLIDWORKS Proficient with Microsoft Office Proficient with GD&T, familiarity with ASME Y14.5 standards preferred Experience with Engineering change process Experience with SOLIDWORKS PDM a plus Experience with ERP systems (D365 preferred)
