About KSDK-TV Saint Louis
KSDK-TV, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Saint Louis, is seeking an innovative Producer. We focus on original storytelling and investigative journalism, engaging our audiences across platforms. We value collaboration, motivation, and authentic storytelling to inform and entertain our viewers.
Responsibilities
- Pitch compelling stories driven by curiosity.
- Showcase creativity and storytelling skills.
- Create stories for all platforms tailored to specific audiences.
- Meet daily deadlines.
- Use live pictures, graphics, video, and sound to create engaging content.
- Cover breaking news and community events live.
- Experiment with new approaches after discussions with supervisors.
- Incorporate community conversations to drive content.
- Use data analytics to shape shows.
- Challenge traditional methods.
- Advocate for underrepresented communities and viewpoints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of news content experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong journalistic judgment emphasizing accuracy, fairness, and community engagement.
- Understanding of professional journalism principles.
- Experience in producing engaging newscasts and digital content.
- Active social media presence.
- Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Calm handling of live, breaking news.
- ENPS and Edius experience preferred.
