Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
The Mechanical Designer is involved in the plant layout, detailing, drafting, and design of conveyor systems and components such as machinery, stairs, platforms & mezzanines, ladders, and other items as needed.
Responsibilities
The company designs, builds, installs, and services material handling & conveyor systems and food & beverage production lines for some of the largest companies in the world. They also have a custom metal fabrication shop.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $800000.00/yr.

Job Description
The Mechanical Designer is involved in the plant layout, detailing, drafting, and design of conveyor systems and components such as machinery, stairs, platforms & mezzanines, ladders, and other items as needed.
Responsibilities
- Design and draft conveyor systems and components including machinery, stairs, platforms & mezzanines, and ladders.
- Create detailed plant layouts.
- Utilize AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor for design and drafting tasks.
- Apply sheet metal fabrication principles to designs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and correct errors.
- Invite and accept constructive feedback to improve designs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor.
- Excellent design and drafting skills in AutoCAD.
- Solid modeling skills with training or experience in sheet metal fabrication principles.
- Experience with food and beverage layout.
- Experience in designing with miscellaneous metals.
- Machine design and drafting experience.
- Project management experience or training.
- Experience in the package handling industry.
