PUBLIC RELATIONS & ENERGY SERVICES ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

Internship positions are available from May through August.

To provide efficient and effective support services to various departments within Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Inc.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with the planning and coordination of employee events, including volunteering in cooperative work-related events.
• To assist with the management of public relations, marketing, and communication efforts to build and maintain the positive image of Berkeley Electric Cooperative, both internally and externally
• Assist in administrative duties.
• All positions are required to participate in weekly group meetings with other interns. May involve special assignments and field trips.

EDUCATION

• Must be a high school senior or enrolled in a university or college program, preferred course of study would be Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must have good general office and computer skills, be detail-oriented, reliable, efficient, conscientious, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have organizational skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and in a friendly and personable manner with employees and the public.
• Promptness is extremely important. Must be a team player.

WORKING CONDITIONS

General office setting. Mostly sitting at desk. Some lifting, bending, and stooping.
