Asst/Assoc/Professor - TT, SLP - Dept. of Communication Sciences and Disorders

This position is a tenure-track faculty role in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati, beginning in Fall 2026. The position is open at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, depending on experience.
The department seeks candidates with expertise in speech-language pathology, including areas such as cognitive disorders, speech/acoustics, swallowing, and voice. Applicants with interests in interdisciplinary areas like disability policy, artificial intelligence, community-based research, or translational science are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing an independent research program, securing external funding, mentoring students, and disseminating research findings.
- Teaching relevant courses, participating in student recruitment and retention, and serving on departmental and university committees.
The department offers collaborative opportunities with local healthcare and educational institutions, as well as interdisciplinary collaborations within the university.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Expertise in speech-language pathology areas.
- Scholarly record with publications and presentations.
- Experience in higher education teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Demonstrated independent research.
Preferred qualifications include clinical expertise, external funding history, licensure, and mentorship experience.
