- Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
- Develop and maintain a detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods of improvement.
- Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.
- Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals, technical specifications, process documentation, trainings and presentations.
- Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise, edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage.
- Create scripts for video tutorials and for customer service team.
- Manage and maintain Knowledge Database (GetGuru).
- Write newsletters, blogs, and other content for company externally facing website.
- Maintain content on company intranet website.
- Two+ years’ experience as an effective technical writer.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
- Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience working in PDF editor, PowerPoint/Canva, and Google Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or relevant field.
- Advanced level skills in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- A writing portfolio is a plus.
- Experience with Knowledge Databases (ex. GetGuru) is a plus.
