Job Description
· Responsible for the successful and efficient set up, operation, strike, and maintenance of all audio-visual gear used at Mercury Sound and Lighting
· Assist with the permanent installation of audio-visual equipment:
· Some experience with installation and troubleshooting of audio, video, and lighting systems
· Basic understanding of pulling and fishing wire through walls, standard electrical circuits, and permanent mounting of various audio-visual support elements
· Knowledge and experience using power tools, safe rigging practices, terminating multiple connections
· Participate in training on new equipment
· Assist the warehouse manager with the prep and de-prep process as needed as well as equipment and building maintenance.
Requirements
· 3-5 years of experience working in live audio-visual events
· Current Chauffeurs License with Medical certificate capable of driving a 26’ non CDL truck
· Forklift certification
· Ability to prioritize duties for effective and successful performance
· Available to work extended hours, including holidays and weekends with little or no notice
· Works well in a fast-paced environment
· Works well under pressure with a heightened sense or urgency
· Keen eye for detail
· Punctual, reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working either independently or with a team.
· Positive attitude towards co-workers as well as clients at all times
