Role Overview
This role will be responsible for the vision, strategy, execution and performance of all public relations and communications for TOM FORD BEAUTY and Balmain Beauty in North America.
TOM FORD is a global design house offering exceptional luxury products across women’s and men’s fashion, accessories, eyewear, and beauty. Founded in 2005 by Tom Ford, today the brand has a presence in more than 102 countries and is widely recognized as the architect of luxury glamour. TOM FORD BEAUTY is designed to amplify individual beauty with a collection of sumptuous cosmetics, extraordinary fragrances, and advanced skincare.
Description
Strategy
-Drive luxury aspiration and elevate brand equity to deliver exceptional business results for both brands.
-Recruit new consumers to the brand, build brand desirability and increase share of voice among competitors (indie and established)
-Accelerate both brands' Earned Media Value to achieve top rank in Fragrance and Makeup through tiered influencer strategy.
-Grow Media Impact Value / Develop media strategy for all NA campaigns and initiatives (main point of contact for media and talent).
-Position Balmain Beauty as the next ultra luxury beauty brand in North America, merging Parisian style with a global modern vision, and crafting impactful campaigns that resonate for a beauty consumer.
-Responsible for all brand communications messages including New Product Launches, Basic Business re-promotes, and crisis management.
-Work collaboratively with marketing and education teams to integrate PR initiatives within overall brand positioning and marketing efforts, including ideation and direction of retail events.
Influencer & Talent Relations
-Identify and forge strategic partnerships with beauty influencers, tastemakers, celebrity makeup artists, fashion stylists and industry trendsetters who align with the ethos of the brand and the specific objectives and creative inspiration of each campaign.
-Infuse a data-driven approach to influencer marketing with EMV as a key business driver. Regularly track key performance indicators such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates to continually refine and optimize influencer strategy.
-Own all regional talent relationships from sourcing through contracting, negotiation of final deliverables.
-Work alongside Marketing/Consumer Engagement lead to identify social/digital activations as part of the Paid media plans.
Media & Industry Relations
-Work with VP Marketing to pitch priority products and launches with target North America national and digital media.
-Identify opportunities, in addition to new product launches, to promote the Brand. Develop unique and targeted stories for the beauty press to maximize opportunities for both brands.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with all relevant press.
-Be alert to or anticipate any events that may be detrimental to the brand and communicate to VP Marketing, taking agreed/necessary action.
Event Planning & Execution
-Work closely with Global brands teams to seamlessly partner on Global Destination Events and Brand tentpole occasions (e.g. Fashion Week) and create brand moments across categories to drive outsize EMV and buzz.
-Ideate, plan and execute exclusive North America regional experiential events and experiences for influencers, KOLs and press. These events should drive EMV while always remaining aligned in the overall Brand aesthetic and story.
-Collaborate with Marketing and Education leads to ideate and create brand-right events for Consumers and Retailers.
Budget & Administrative
-Ownership of PR budget; including planning and pivoting of funds to support NA strategy.
-Develop talent & capabilities of PR Coordinator.
-Agency management.
Qualifications
-Minimum 10 years of public relations experience & influencer space with focus on ultra luxury beauty and/or fashion.
-Strong contacts with the US luxury and entertainment print/digital media, influencers, tastemakers and key opinion leaders.
-Diplomacy, team player, and leadership skills.
-Strategic thinking & executor.
-Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and share focus among product launches and special projects.
-Social media savvy.
-Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,550.00 to $208,200.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
