Nashville, TN The UX Designer specializes in user experience and product design with a human-centered approach to design mobile, digital & web applications that are intuitive, innovative, and ones that people love to use. This role requires experience in creating valuable and actionable UX documentation, excellent visual design skills, a passion for making complex products simple and intuitive, and the ability to clearly articulate how a product should work in both digital and physical contexts. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and responsibilities such as facilitating user research, creating information architectures, building sitemaps, designing wireframes and high-fidelity visuals, creating interactive prototypes, and ensuring design quality before production. At each stage, you will advocate for user needs and ensure the final product meets their goals while being elegant and effective. We aim to transform the healthcare industry through value-driven products that foster innovation across HCA’s nationwide ecosystem. To achieve this, we are building teams that are curious and adaptable to new technologies. Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to align on business and user goals. Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback on live products and new designs for UX improvements. Conduct and facilitate user research using qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g., interviews, A/B testing, usability tests, surveys, analytics). Document user journeys, personas, and audience segments. Design visual solutions for mobile, digital, and responsive web applications addressing user issues to meet business and user goals. Define and drive UX vision and strategy for products and applications. Implement human-centered design methodologies leveraging ongoing feedback and insights. Translate user research into actionable design improvements in collaboration with product and engineering teams. Create high-quality design artifacts such as user flows, wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, and presentations. Ensure compliance with organizational standards like accessibility, design systems, and branding guidelines. Promote a UX-centric culture through training, sharing, and coaching best practices and methodologies. Present UX designs to stakeholders to gather feedback, foster collaboration, and support human-centered design thinking. Lead or mentor other UX designers and act as UX Lead on product teams. Adhere to the organization's code of conduct, mission, and values. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field. Empathetic mindset with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies. Strong knowledge of human-centered design and UX best practices. Proficiency with relevant tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision, UserTesting, etc. Ability to engage in thoughtful conversations and stakeholder interactions to drive user-centered solutions. Skills in UX, UI, interaction, visual, or product design. Ability to influence UX practices within cross-disciplinary teams. Experience mentoring colleagues in UX disciplines. Excellent communication skills for presenting complex UX concepts clearly. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
