Job Description
Position: AV Technician In-House Properties/Office/Shows
- Pay Range: $ 30k-45k DPOE
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Delivery, Setup, Support, Strike and Pickup of Audio Visual inventory for designated shows.
- Complete and distribute all forms necessary to preparation for individual shows.
- Pull and prep equipment for distribution to events.
- Have necessary resources available at all events.
- Maintain organization of AV equipment in store room(s).
- Assist with AV inventory control, maintenance, sub rentals, etc.
- Assist coordinating equipment rentals & sub rentals. Must have knowledge of wide array of audio, video, projection (including HD), and lighting equipment commonly used in the live events industry.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and a good understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understanding of computer networks and troubleshooting connectivity issues for clients.
- Willing to drive truck if needed
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Hospitality/AV Rental/Staging industry required
- Experience working in Hotel AV environment a must
- Customer Service is priority number one. Must possess high level of interpersonal skills
- This position requires many weekends, early starts, late shifts, and long hours during peak periods.
- Must possess a high level of skill and experience with running large audio, video/projection, and lighting systems for large events with high profile clients. You will be expected to be the lead technician on many of our large events on one tech position or another.
- Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds continuously and keep up with a fast paced environment. Some days will require you to be on your feet all day.
- Must be prompt every day.
- Must be able to take direction as well as show ability to complete tasks independently
- Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance in client engagements.
- Show direction and initiative when not under direct supervision.
- Budget time effectively in order to manage multiple tasks.
- Develop understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each MCS/Facility employee.
- Establish a working relationship with each MCS / Facility employee.
- Develop and utilize leadership and teamwork skills.
- Serve clients in a timely manner.
- Willingness and ability to learn the technical aspects of the job.
- Demonstrate a high level of respect and care for all equipment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn & use Intellievent Software to perform required tasks.
- Ability to pay close attention to details and follow up on them.
- Ability to effectively manage projects, and people.
- Willingness and ability to master setup and operation of all Audio Visual equipment.
- Willingness and ability to work 7 days a week.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass IDOT physical. Class C License a plus.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
