About The Role
The Assistant Media Planner supports media leadership in planning, managing, and tracking multi-channel media campaigns, primarily focusing on print/offline media. The role requires proficiency in campaign analysis, strategic optimization, attention to detail, organization skills, Excel proficiency, and a basic understanding of digital and traditional media. This hybrid role is based in New York City.
What You'll Do
- Plan, negotiate, and execute print/offline media plans, with potential to expand to other media.
- Manage daily planning, analysis, and maintain relationships with publishers and partners.
- Assist in developing media strategies, research, drafting plans, and data collection.
- Develop and manage media plans, negotiate, and purchase media.
- Implement and optimize campaigns with support from media leadership.
- Handle campaign authorizations, budgets, and reconciliation following SOPs.
- Maintain daily communication with media publishers.
- Analyze research and media data, report findings to clients.
- Monitor campaign performance and assist with strategic analysis.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years media planning/buying experience, preferably at an agency.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with print media channels: Direct Mail, Magazine, Insert, Shared Mail.
- Knowledge of print production is a plus.
- Understanding of DTC, OTC, CPG verticals is beneficial.
- Experience optimizing campaigns for KPIs like ROAS, ROI, CPA.
- Data analysis and market research skills.
- Ability to manage large data sets and create visualizations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, ability to work autonomously, and attention to detail.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new media.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000 USD/year (Hybrid).
