Summary
The Marketing Associate will play a key role in executing social and digital marketing strategies, managing content across various platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build internal marketing processes, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance engagement. This position supports both internal and external marketing initiatives, ensuring consistent branding and effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and team members. Additionally, the role involves developing promotional materials and driving brand awareness to the industry. The Marketing Associate will work closely with the Marketing Manager to support the Universal Ingredients platform for FruitSmart, Silva International, and Universal Ingredients-Shanks.
What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
- Develop, schedule, and manage content across social media and digital platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Websites, Blog Posts, etc.) to build a comprehensive message across the Universal Ingredients platform.
- Analyze social media and digital campaign performance using metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and optimize strategies accordingly.
- Lead in design and content creation to develop engaging visuals, videos, and copy.
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to enhance strategy.
- Maintain and work closely with the communications team on updating the company website, blog posts, and digital assets as needed.
- Support the sales team and assist in developing customer-facing marketing materials such as presentations, sell sheets, and sales collateral.
- Coordinate and/or oversee the marketing, planning and logistics of tradeshow events with the goal of aligning all the companies in the platform.
- Collaborate with R&D and leadership to translate technical product features into compelling marketing messages tailored to the food and beverage industry.
- Assist with defining and executing product portfolio management to build an internal business unit library.
- Provide training and technical support to sales team, distributors, and customers on market trends and internal platform capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 1-2 years of marketing experience in B2C or B2B, in the food and beverage industry.
- A track record of developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies and tactics that have delivered strong results.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in writing, editing, social media management, media relations and working with vendors.
Preferred Skills
- Graphic design or copywriting experience
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
- Strong attention-to-detail and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Adobe.
