As the Assistant Director of Marketing, you'll partner with the Director of Marketing to shape strategies that drive guest engagement, enhance brand visibility, and achieve business goals. Leading a talented team across creative, promotional, and entertainment functions, you'll ensure seamless execution of multi-channel campaigns, loyalty programs, and memorable events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Oversight:
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Directly oversee the positions listed in the attached organizational chart, ensuring alignment with department goals and objectives. Serve as a key liaison between the Director of Marketing (DoM) and the team, ensuring seamless communication and execution of directives. Assist in mentoring and developing marketing staff to strengthen skills, build knowledge, and maintain bench strength within the department. Strategic Planning and Execution:
Aid the DoM in creating and monitoring strategic marketing plans, both short and long-term, to achieve gaming and resort objectives related to revenue, profitability, and market share. Develop initiatives to build sales, profitability, and guest counts while maintaining effective cost controls. Coordinate with the DoM to ensure all department activities operate within fiscal and operational guidelines. Contribute to creative advertising materials and campaigns within approved budgetary constraints. Campaign Management:
Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote Little Creek Casino Resort, including traditional and digital media, print, and social media strategies. Coordinate the development of strategies relating to analytical/database marketing, promotions/special events, and entertainment. Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance targets. Create marketing campaigns and strategies for active and inactive guests using mail, digital platforms, and phone outreach to enhance brand loyalty and visitation. Content, Creative, and Media Oversight:
Supervise the Creative Manager and their team to ensure high-quality, engaging content is produced across all platforms. Oversee the creation and deployment of promotional materials and ensure consistency in brand messaging in internal and external communications, including social media, websites, and print materials. Work on advertising plans and media strategies in coordination with agencies, including traditional and digital platforms. Collaboration and Cross-Departmental Initiatives:
Ensure smooth coordination with all gaming and resort departments to promote their products and services via advertising, social media, websites, and print materials. Collaborate with other departments to align marketing strategies with operational goals, including gaming, entertainment, and resort services. Effectively cooperate with departments to implement interdepartmental events, promotions, and training programs for a cohesive team dynamic. Guest Engagement and Loyalty Programs:
Assist in the development and strategies for the Rewards Club and Player Development programs to attract, retain, and reactivate high-value players. Respond to guest complaints and discrepancies efficiently and courteously, reporting results to the DoM. Promote positive customer relations and monitor customer satisfaction through comment cards and other feedback mechanisms. Monitor profitability and performance of existing products and services while identifying opportunities to enhance guest engagement. Budget and Resource Management:
Assist in managing the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources across initiatives. Monitor and report on budget utilization and identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization. Manage relationships with external vendors, including advertising, media, entertainment, digital, and public relations agencies. Analytics and Reporting:
Maintain and analyze data across multiple platforms, extracting key insights to inform future campaign strategies and go-to-market initiatives. Provide regular status reports, post-event analysis, and marketing program updates to the DoM. Submit information to aid in the creation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Team Development and Training:
Identify training needs for the marketing team and provide opportunities for skill enhancement. Encourage team members to stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing strategies. Entertainment and Events Oversight:
Exhibit working knowledge of entertainment, including name talent, on-site and themed events, ensuring expenditures meet profitability guidelines. Oversee planning and execution of entertainment initiatives aligned with overall marketing strategies. Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required. A minimum of five years (5) of professional marketing experience, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role within the casino or hospitality industry. Experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance brand presence. Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital platforms, social media, and traditional advertising. Proficiency in utilizing marketing databases and analytic tools to inform decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
