Qualifications
Be the Best Hospice Music Therapist You Can Be
- Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in Music Therapy and/or Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved university (or equivalent undergraduate program approved by AMTA).
- Must have a reliable automobile, valid driver's license, and the minimum state-required auto insurance.
Required Certifications and Licensures
- Board Certified as a Music Therapist (MT-BC) by the CBMT. State-specific qualification requirements may apply.
- Additional Qualifications for Level II Music Therapist: 2 years of full-time healthcare experience, highest state licensure if applicable, approved AMTA Intern Supervisor status, and Advanced HPMT certification.
- Additional Qualifications for Level III Music Therapist: 5 years of full-time healthcare experience, Master's Degree in Music Therapy or equivalent, highest state licensure if applicable, approved AMTA Intern Supervisor status, and Advanced HPMT certification.
