Edge Water Music Therapy provides research-based, data-driven, high-quality music therapy services at a reasonable price to clients requesting individual or group therapy. We offer therapy within the comfort of clients' homes, residential facilities, or agreed-upon locations in the Greater Southwest Michigan Area. Each of our therapists is dedicated to helping every client discover their unique potential.

Role Description

Edge Water Music Therapy is seeking a part-time Music Therapist (MT-BC) to provide therapy within Kalamazoo County, MI, with potential opportunities to work in surrounding counties based on availability and interest. The team at Edge Water Music Therapy meets regularly to provide clinical and managerial support. Therapists on our team also have the ability to develop innovative programming and share in professional growth and development.

Our therapists work within homes and facilities, serving six counties in Southwest Michigan. Our music therapists choose their worksites. This includes community mental health contracts, local community organizations, assisted living facilities, and one-on-one sessions with individuals of all ages. The music therapist will administer music therapy treatments, work with clients to improve their mental health, and provide specialized services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Daily tasks include assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and conducting therapy sessions using music as a therapeutic tool.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music therapy
• Valid MT-BC certification
• Passion for working with diverse individuals, groups, and families
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

Your Rewarding Music Therapy Career:

• Therapy Pay: $30.50 per hour
• Training Pay: $12.48 per hour
• Administrative Pay: $15.00 per hour
• Paid Drive Time: Compensation for travel between client locations
• Paid Sick Time (ESTA): Accrued time off for illness
