Essential Duties:
Marketing Strategy & Leadership: • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities, generate inbounds, and build corporate brand equity. • Lead the department, providing guidance reporting to leadership on marketing initiatives and progress. • Manage brand positioning strategy for our two portfolios of FMPs (ClearIQ and ClearHT) and our new breakthrough Honey Truffle sweetener. • Focus on defining key strategies behind the new honey truffle sweetener launch in H2 2026: Branding, labeling, advocacy programs, differentiation vs. competitors. • Define and manage a new library of consumer research to be utilized to make the case for our ingredients as well as presentations to key customer marketing departments, • Monitor and track effectiveness of marketing initiatives and strategy and submit performance reports. Manage budgets and allocate resources among projects. • Partner closely with the sales team to drive integrated marketing / sales commercialization plans in key customers and new opportunity areas. Prepare and plan key customer presentations and interact with customers’ marketing departments whenever possible. • Develop comprehensive knowledge of market dynamics and trends, along with competitor strategies and marketing movements. Act as a thought leader and market expert. Bring innovative ideas and best practices to the table. • Represent and elevate MycoTechnology’s overall ingredient, technology, and company brand through customer- and market-facing interactions. • Work closely with the innovation team to define priorities based on market potential, , including line extensions as well as new breakthrough innovation launches. • Design and execute all outbound ingredient marketing activities for the company and portfolio, including traditional media, digital media, email, etc. Optimize full lifecycle of paid media campaigns. • Plan and develop comprehensive portfolio of brand collateral, addressing specific target markets and functions, in collaboration with creative / design team members, brand team, and technical teams. • Support sales in developing customer collateral and presentation materials. • Manage any external resources required for large-scale marketing and communications campaigns.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field from an accredited institution. • 10+ years of Marketing experience, including B2B food ingredients. • 5+ years’ experience in the food, ingredient, retail, and/or consumer package goods industry. • Strong understanding of consumer trends in food, Nutrition and Health. • Solid understanding of the sales lifecycle and marketing to sales funnel and pipeline management. • 5+ years of leadership experience: hiring, managing, and developing talent. • Self-starter and strategic, creative thinker with a history of pushing for deadline-driven results. • Excellent time-management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Office, PowerPoint. • Superior written, verbal and presentation communication skills; excellent editorial skills; excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to plan and lead projects of varying complexity with minimal supervision. • Flexibility to travel as required • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to influence across the organization.
Preferred: • MBA or master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution. • Experience in marketing or product management for specialty or premium ingredients. • Food Science or nutrition degree.
Reporting structure: One direct report (marketing manager) Key relationships: Myco Management Team, Sales teams and innovation team. Reports into the Company’s Chief Executive Officer.
