N2K Networks is hiring for an Advertising Account Executive. The newest team member will play a pivotal role in driving revenue, managing relationships with buying agencies and brands directly, and expanding the N2K CyberWire’s client base. The primary responsibility will be to establish points of contact within cybersecurity-focused companies and the agencies that support those companies. The ideal candidate should be highly ambitious, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- A hunter mentality with a proven ability to generate new business and exceed sales goals
- Heavy outbound prospecting
- Understand the unique value proposition of the N2K CyberWire network and execute a go-to-market strategy to generate revenue across ad inventory including but not limited to sponsorships, host-read ads, interviews, and custom content
- Develop and maintain partnerships with agencies and brands to create advertising opportunities in the cybersecurity space
- Pipeline management and forecasting using Salesforce.com
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment between our solutions and client campaign goals
- Identify trends in campaign metrics and analyze campaign performance data to ensure and client satisfaction is achieved
- Collaborate internally with the Editorial, AdOps, and Marketing teams to ensure campaigns run efficiently and effectively and to provide marketing insights
- Stay current with industry trends, risks, innovations, and threats
Requirements:
- Passion for podcasts, cybersecurity, and deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape
- BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field and a minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Account Executive in an Ad sales role or similar
- Ability to develop trust and rapport while understanding and effectively documenting customer objectives as it relates to campaign goals
- Recent experience effectively using core sales tools including but not limited to Salesforce, SalesIntel, and Google Apps or similar
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic personality
- Strong sense of urgency and resourcefulness coupled with a desire to compete and win
- Must have the ability to work independently as part of a remote team
- Ability to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
