Summary of Responsibilities
: The JRP Estimator is key to delivering accurate estimates and fixed-cost budgets for luxury single-family residential remodels and new construction projects. You'll review drawings and define detailed scopes of work, lead the bid process, source competitive bids, and ensure accurate, comprehensive budgets.
Essential Functions
:
Create estimates for labor, materials, and expenses based on design plans
Develop fixed-cost budgets using project plans and trade bids
Analyze project drawings to determine material and labor needs
Collaborate with internal/external teams to find cost-effective solutions
Compile scopes of work and quantity takeoffs
Solicit bids and negotiate for the best pricing
Review plans and bids for accuracy
Manage trade relationships and maintain up-to-date pricing
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
:
5+ years of residential construction experience
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and trades Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Sales and negotiation skills with proven closing ability
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with Buildertrend, Active Takeoffs, and Bluebeam
Compensation
:
Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 (based on experience) Bonus opportunities
Simple IRA with employer match
