K9 Global Rescue, a 501(c)(3) veteran run nonprofit, non-partisan organization seeking an experienced and passionate volunteer grant writer to help us secure funding for our critical animal rescue efforts. About Us: K9 Global Rescue is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals in crisis situations, including natural disasters, wildfires, and other emergencies. Our team of volunteers works tirelessly to provide critical care, shelter, and support to animals in need. Since 2010 K9GR has operated throughout the United States, Asia, the Middle East and Europe as a group of former international military and combat veterans as advocates for the humanity of dogs and all animals. K9 Global Rescue’s efforts to stop the dog and cat meat trade throughout Asia are well documented. This group of dedicated international military veterans, first responders, doctors, veterinarians, and volunteers from several countries work in cooperation with rescue organizations, military, government and disaster relief agencies worldwide. Grant Writer Responsibilities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies Develop and write compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents Collaborate with our team to gather information and data for grant proposals Ensure timely submission of grant proposals and reports Maintain records of grant submissions, deadlines, and follow-up communications Requirements: Proven experience in grant writing, preferably for animal welfare or nonprofit organizations Excellent writing, research, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Familiarity with grant writing software and databases (e.g., GrantHub, Submittable) What We Offer: Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals in crisis Collaborative and dynamic team environment Flexible scheduling to accommodate your volunteer schedule Professional development and networking opportunities How to Apply:* If you're passionate about animal welfare and have a talent for grant writing, please submit your application to jon@k9globalrescue.org
