TeleSolv Consulting has an opportunity to work with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Office of Corporate Communications as a Mid-level Graphics Design Specialist. This role is on-site at 1333 Isaac Hull Avenue, Washington Navy Yard, Washington DC 20376. Please only apply if you live locally and are willing to commute on-site Mon-Fri.

Duties / Responsibilities

NAVSEA supports the Command mission of designing, building, delivering and sustaining the U.S. Navy’s ships, submarines and systems through its strategic communications efforts. Representing more than 86,000 employees geographically dispersed across more than 40 locations worldwide, it is responsible for providing the strategic guidance, planning and execution support for all enterprise-wide internal and external communication, including marketing requirements and legislative engagement. In this capacity, the office provides direct support and strategic advisement to the Naval Commander on all communication matters.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience producing military and/or government graphic design products (short engaging videos, images, posters, infographics, digital signage) as demonstrated by applicant’s resume and sample portfolio.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Animation, Art, or a related field.
• Must have experience with Adobe Pro and/or Final Cut Pro.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Current Secret Security Clearance.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in conceptualizing, processing, and producing audio, video, animations, and interactive multimedia material for a variety of audiences and platforms.
• Experience in and ability to collaborate and synthesize complex ideas and initiatives into easily understood visuals for a variety of audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to execute work in accordance with industry-leading audiovisual standards.

Background Investigation

This position requires that you obtain a background investigation from our client. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
