Overview
The manager, Professional and Strategic Account Engagement, develops relationships with key decision-makers, thought leaders, society meeting owners, and key stakeholders to increase Myriad's presence and competitive position.
Develops speakers, trainers, and Myriad advocates to educate physicians and patients about Myriad's approved products, in accordance with legal and regulatory compliance.
In coordination with marketing, clinical, sales, and professional engagements, this role will develop long-term relationships and advocacy for Myriad Oncology and the community we serve.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Professional Relations/KOL Management - 40% of time
Creates KOL plans in coordination with strategic and marketing business plans
Develops strategy on how to engage key KOL relationships to leverage across Myriad Oncology channels, including digital, conferences and events, and sales
Increase KOL satisfaction by collaborating with clinical and marketing leadership to ensure KOL concerns/needs are addressed in a timely and thorough manner
Leader for KOLs clinically as well as the liaison for KOL communications for Myriad Oncology presence at major medical meetings and to identify future meetings
Attends key conferences and meetings and manages KOL presentations at symposia and product theatres
Supports advisory boards or other KOL engagements
Builds and commercializes processes for sales-initiated and regional dinner programs
Patient Advocacy - 20% of time
Develops patient advocacy strategy in coordination with strategic and marketing business plan
Creates strategy on how to engage patient advocates and how to leverage across channels, including digital, conferences and events, and sales
Builds and commercializes processes for sales-initiated and regional dinner programs
Attends and exhibits at patient advocacy conferences and events as Myriad representative
Key Account Relations - 25% of time
Liaises with sales teams to reinforce and highlight the key and current product/portfolio opportunities with key customers.
Develops Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Strategies for key accounts in partnership with National Accounts Team
Supports national account team on workflow integration projects with key accounts
Manages Market Insights Program - 15% of time
Build and maintain KOL database and scorecard, updating KOL information on an ongoing basis
Responsible for attending key society meetings and engaging our KOLs
Responsible for coordinating meetings with upstream and downstream teams at society meetings
Coordinates with Society Meeting leads and KOL attendees to establish receptions, dinner meetings, and symposia to promote Myriad Oncology during both local and national society meetings.
Works with Society Meeting owners to recommend new speakers, content, and agenda modification that highlight Myriad Oncology's growth strategy
Initiates and pursues opportunities to involve Myriad Oncology in meaningful programs at key accounts to ensure that Myriad is strategically and strongly positioned.
Identifies the next generation of influential KOL/brand advocate/patient advocate
Monitors information with Medical Affairs by KOLs from medical and scientific literature, scientific meetings, symposia, and seminars where Myriad products and competitors are present.
Ensures KOL gaps and opportunities are identified and strategic plans of action are taken to increase Myriad on-label product acceptance and usage
Responsible for organizing 4 Myriad Market Insights Programs a year
Collaborates with Medical and Marketing teams on KOL tactical programs in line with strategic plans.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required
5 or more years of sales and/or marketing experience
Thorough knowledge of the healthcare industry, oncology experience a plus
Experience developing KOL or thought leadership programs and speaker programs for biotech or similar company required
Large Accounts, Key Accounts, or strategic accounts sales strategy and/or account-based marketing required
