Job Overview:
The Librarian will ensure that the library runs smoothly on a daily basis; that it is organized and functional for students, faculty, and school community. The Librarian will maintain proper records of all books in the library, and update files as new material becomes available. The librarian will teach a weekly class to lower school students and provide or support ongoing engagements with the school.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field; preferred Master’s in Library Science or Teacher Librarian Services credential
- Prior experience as a librarian
- Familiar with database and management system software for books, records, and documents
- Familiar with standard library organization and strong organizational skills
- Experience working with students and facilitating clubs
- Experience with event and community involvement
- Eligibility to work in the USA; we are unable to provide sponsorship
- Pass background check and provide negative TB test
- Current Bloodborne Pathogens, First Aid & CPR certifications or able to attain within the first 2 months of employment
