Position Profile: Corporate Communications & Publicity Seasonal Assistant
Department: Corporate Communications
Reports to: Vice President of Corporate Communications
Status: Seasonal, Hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Communications Department with all internal and external corporate communications, publicity, and media operations efforts across the entire portfolio of businesses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the development of media plans to promote club programs, campaigns, events, and initiatives across the entire business, including marketing and brand initiatives, Arrowhead Events, community outreach efforts, special projects, and more.
- Assist in the creation of written materials to publicize team initiatives, including but not limited to: press releases, media advisories, talking points, website materials, and contributions to annual media guide.
- Help foster relationships with and pitch non-traditional media outlets, including lifestyle, entertainment, fashion and sports business outlets.
- Support with media availability at select initiatives, including Community Outreach appearances and Arrowhead Events.
- Assist with gameday credentialing process for team, stadium staff, media, broadcast partners and league staff.
- Assist in the creation of recaps, data collection, and analysis of communications efforts across various initiatives, including media events, campaigns, and special projects to help evaluate impact and inform future strategy.
- Support football communications with various duties as assigned.
- Transcribe press conference and media availabilities as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
- Previous public relations, corporate communications, or publicity internship experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to relate to executives, high-profile athletes and media.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Adobe software.
- Familiarity with PR/media monitoring, analysis platforms and media databases, including Meltwater and Cision.
- Knowledge of the National Football League, as well as understanding of NFL media landscape preferred.
- Knowledge of credentialing software solutions including Accredit Solutions, Wicket, Zebra, etc. preferred but not required.
- Organizational skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Ability to work home gamedays as well as special events at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
- Willingness to work long hours, weekends and some holidays.
QUICK FACTS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Any relocation fees are the responsibility of the individual.
- All candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S.A.
HOURS REQUIRED:
- 40 hours per week and events/game days.
- Starting July 8, 2025, and working through the 2025-26 season.
